It's Your Movie

The movie frames of life are filming now. Everyone has a story inside them. We all know this. What is holding you back from filming yours? I am guilty along with everyone else out there. Trying to remember our desires and dreams. It does not even have to be something of great magnitude. All we need to do is let the camera roll...

Start setting your goals and dreams in motion. Take the lens off of your camera. The artwork behind your life is "one of a kind." We have so much to learn from each other and so much beauty to see in the world. I give you the job of being a "camera-man" (camera-person) : )  on the set of your life today...

Keep in mind that we all have the ability to light up a screen. So make that camera a work of art in your life. After all you are an original...

Lights!  Camera!  Action!

Mother's Day For All Of Us

I am normally spending time away from the computer on the weekend. It is always encouraged that you enjoy time away from the Internet-Highway. I wanted to remind everyone that we have all been given a gift for Mother's Day...

Life! In order to be here we had to of had a mother. We could not have been born without her. Unless you were cloned and that can be a great post. Email me! :)  We were all meant to be here. It was written that we were to be a part of this luminous life together. You were meant to be here and were given that gift because of your mom...

Celebrate your life if nothing else on Mother's Day. The package that you were delivered in was crafted just for you. Embrace your gift and handle with care...

Happy Mother's Day To All Of Us...  You know I gotta do it now! I have too! I just...can't help from doing this. Enjoy~

Nostalgic Candy Brings A Moment

Nostalgic candy can take you back in time with one bite. It can even be the smell of the treat that reminds us sweet moments in life. Each generation has their own types of candy that they can relate to. When I was little I remember riding my bike to a neighborhood mom and pop store to get penny candy. Yes, that is penny candy! 1 cent...(those days are almost long gone)

Getting a quarter meant you could eat candy all day. Some of my favorites were the chocolate "ICE CUBE" squares that melted in your mouth as you closed your mouth. Smooth chocolate~ It has a reference of a polar bear on it. I guess because it is such a cool chocolate to eat. : ) There was also the wonderful licorice rolls. The ones that came in several individual rolls of tape looking packages. That was great! I was buying it here in the states and then they stopped importing it. It comes from Denmark. However, I did see something recently about how I can order some again. Yeah me~! The memories start flooding back of my sisters and I watching out for traffic, crossing the street to get to the store, looking around inside at all of the candy as if it was pure gold, huddling outside the store after our purchase to divide the candy between us, and smiling all the way home with my candy. While chewing a mouthful for sure!

I am not encouraging you to run and get a big sack of candy to eat. I am just encouraging you to find some of the candy you liked in the past. While researching I came across several online stores that you can order from. There are many and I encourage you to find what you like best. It can just be fun to be a kid again for that moment.

Be smart about your candy intake. Enjoy life in all kinds of ways. The tiny things amount to a much larger moment than one big one. Have a tiny bit of nostalgia for yourself. It can be kinda fun. Now I am off to get some myself. The thin string red licorice is one of my top favorites. Oh, remember the Marathon Bar? The one that was a ruler size long? It was the best caramel and chocolate combo ever! Cadbury has that and it is called "Curly Wurly." Love it!

If you do not eat candy find something from your past that was good as a child and jump in!

National Day Of Prayer For All

National Day Of Prayer, was signed into law by President Harry S. Truman, in 1952. The annual observance is the first Thursday in May. This day is to encourage people to find their peace and strength with God. It is a day of encouragement to use the vessel of religion to stay humble and be guided with grace...
  • Find beauty in total love of everyone.
  • Be supportive to each other.
  • It is encouraged to pray everywhere today.
  • Remember humanity always.
We all need each other. We are all God's children. Family should have a sense of honor and duty. We are fortunate to have such a large family out there. Embrace today for what it means to you and keep learning.

Now that we know there is such a large family, can we divide the chores up more? I could use help cleaning the family room up there...

I am praying for all of us today! I know in my heart he is proud of effort. Have a blessed day...

The seeds you planted for inspiration and motivation are growing. Look at that! You are pushing those vines of desire to grow harder and faster, than Jack did when he wanted the golden egg.

You should recognize this growth as a beginning to improving your life in all ways possible. Anything you can do to help you look at life without negativity perpetuates new growth every day.

Credit For Osama bin Ladens Death Is Not On A Debit Card

I wish everyone would stop arguing over who gets credit for killing Osma bin Laden. It is not an unlimited debit card. We need to just think of it as a team effort. When your child graduates who gets the credit? Was it the teachers they had in high school? Was it the elementary principle? See where I am going here? It has been a combination of many things that finally created this ending of Osama and his life.

People are saying it was President Bush who started the whole plan. Others will argue that it was President Obama that got it done. The arguing over who gets credit is not as important to the air time that can be used on other pressing and important issues. If everyone can not agree that it was a team effort on this whole country, then I feel bad for you. You are not thinking about the people who have children that are lost in this war we have on terrorism. Young men and women's families have been destroyed. Not just by the lose of lives but, the whole transition of the past decade.

I believe that everyone on any team is encouraged to pass, assist, support, be there when needed and always agree it is a group effort on any project or game they are involved in with others. Is that not our mantra of Team Effort?

Stop and think about everyone that could possibly have been involved over the past ten years and then my friend you have the team. I commend everyone on there part in the journey to capture Osma bin Laden. Let us move forward with government and make smart choices. Getting involved will help you to understand and participate in your community and country. It is our country, don't give it away...

Just a thought after seeing so much of this topic in the media. fyi-daughter is truckin along with tissues to school and doing well on tests. wtg her! yes, I told her how happy I was that my lil snot-booger was staying strong, with no fever.~

Character In A Sinus Cavity

I should fill you in on what happened. My daughter went to bed on Sunday evening all stuffed up in the sinuses and had a scratchy throat. A parents dream.~ She understands the importance of going to school this week because of state testing. We are all familiar with the testing that the schools do each year that helps determine if your child is learning and at what grade level. It is also used to see how the teachers our doing their jobs. There is controversy over tests in all states with education. I am not going there. I abide by my school district's policy and she has to take the tests. So every day for the next few days the kid has to be rested, eat well, anything I can do to help her be ready to think, I do! Until she got sick. (sigh)...

So here she is feeling like the house is sitting on her sinus cavity and has to go to school. Poor kid. I felt bad for her but there was no fever. The allergies, the viruses, the colds, you name it and its out there. (No fever = School) sorry...

As a parent I want nothing more than to protect you and take care of you. However, I need to teach you to push yourself. I need you to know what it is like to persevere. It is important that you show yourself and others that you have good character. Then she asked me! "What is character?" How could she not know what that meant? Didn't the school ever teach here that yet? After all she was about to take a test. She should know this! This is something that we teach as parents but, we also count on the vocabulary of the educational system...

Then I took another look inside my own personal lesson plan for life with the children. I needed to make sure that I was paying closer attention to my children's "life curriculum." We just assume that they know things. The school system does help in more ways that people understand and help children with all kinds of lessons. I was reminded of my parent responsibilities. The ability to raise your hand can be stressful and give someone anxiety. This is a huge problem for the people afraid to ask questions out there. God love that kid for askin me... :)

Ok, so I explained to her the definition of character. Character: One of the attributes or features that make up and distinguish an individual. Merriam Webster Dictionary 2011. http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/character

I also explained the whole importance of the tests. Reminding her about the nurse being there (just in case) made her feel better We need to instill all of the important and intrinsic words to children that can help them grow into positive thinking adults. They need the positive affirmation and energy to help them illuminate that same thinking and behavior with the understanding. I did call the school to touch base with the nurse. She was really glad I did. That way we are on the same page and she knows how my daughter was feeling today. To my delight she rode the bus home and I plunked herself down in the chair with relief to be home after she arrived. Her little eyes were a bloodshot sea of "If I had the energy I would totally be telling you off right now." Ok, not really but, she was not feelin it...

I was able to help her smile through the red nose that was inflamed by the constant blowing of the nose and the rolling eyeballs of a sinus storm. She had done it! She stayed in school all day long without giving in to feeling under the weather. If she had I fever I would have been there in a second! You bet your bippy. She feels so good about herself now that there is no way she will miss the tests, unless she does get that fever. She had shown herself that she can persevere, and see how strong she can be when pushing herself. The talk of not giving up and working hard for things was out there. We also talked about how grown-ups do this all the time. They go to work feeling bad and make it through! We do what we have to do...

Although she was so tired and plunked in the chair like a rag doll after school, she was so proud of herself. I was even more proud. I had succeeded in teaching her something important and she looks forward to the next battle. I am sure that today she will remember  how awesome she did yesterday. This sets the testing off with the attitude of determination! I am proud of my little snot-filled sinus cavity girl. She will rock that tissue today like nobodies business and the test of course!...

Tissue's Unite! Everyone who has illness today and keeps moving forward, I applaud your efforts. You have been a positive influence on people. Thank you and keep on top of your symptoms. Your health is important. Have an easy day  and rest when you can...

Ok, Who left the used tissues on the couch up there? It looks like boogie-central at the disco.~

Gas Prices Not Worth The Blood Vessel

The rising cost of gas is creating a whole new culture. They are a group of people that will run from one side of town, to another side of town for cheaper gas. When in the long run, they saved around two dollars for their hard works. They are wide-eyed, fast moving, competitive, not always friendly, and have a tendency to not care what it takes to go before you in line. I am talking about the culture of people that can not help the musical beat they feel inside of ~"Got To Get That Gas!"  Ooh!  Lets not forget the person with the lawnmower. I understand when a landscaping company would send the whole crew over for filling up, if the price is rising but, one man, one mower? Really? Seriously? Why Now?...

If you feel the need to be in line at the gas pumps follow these tips, with the mass pandemonium of "gas geeks"; be smart, be kind, be patient, and try not to get caught up in media hype too much. The increase in gas is a serious issue. We do need to make differences and pay attention. If we are complaining then we need to do something about it! Be involved. Just remember that the media can and will have an impact on what you do. They usually do. If you need gas, go and get some. Don't run to the gas station because you are afraid it is going to rise another few cents in an hour, when you only need a few gallons to fill it up. The guy with the single lawnmower at pump 8, You should have brought the gas can instead of the actual mower. I'm just sayin.....

"Have a weekend that makes you walk with more pride in how you carry yourself. Stand up a little straighter. Ahh...You look Smashing! It ends up making you feel better when you approach life looking right at it...Now go see what you can out there and walk like there is a party up ahead"...~

Explanation of Gas Geeks: This is just a loving term I us to reference the passionate people that are focused on fuel. We have them in all fields within industries. Best Buy Company, refers to their "Geek Squad" of help for tech lovers. No intent was to harm any animals or offend anyone that hordes gas...Kidding..can't help it sometimes...Keeping it light.~
